  • What is SwingDater?
    SwingDater is the perfect way to find compatible new friends or partners within the swinging LifeStyle.

  • Is membership free?
    Yes, membership is completely FREE! However to take advantage of all the features SwingDater has to offer you must become a paid member. To compare features, visit our Membership Comparison page.
Membership
  • I signed up, but never received my email confirmation link.
    Sometimes confirmation notices can be incorrectly sent to a "junk" or "spam" folder (especially if using Hotmail or Yahoo! Mail accounts. Be sure to check these folders for the missing email. Should you still receive no confirmation email within an hour, please let us know. We'll activate the account for you.

    Tip: If you're using a free email account such as HotMail or Yahoo! Mail, please ensure that you've not maxed out your storage quota. Otherwise you may not be able to receive your confirmation link.

    HotMail users should also do the following:

    1. Log in to HotMail
    2. Go to "Options" on the Mail page.
    3. On the left side of the page, click "Mail", and then click "Junk E-Mail Protection".
    4. Click "Add Senders to Safe List."
    5. Type "swingdater.com" (without quotes), and then click Add.
    6. Click "OK".
    7. After completing the above steps, then request another confirmation link from SwingDater.

  • I joined, but now I can't log in.
    It's possible that your account may have been cancelled due to an incomplete profile bio. SwingDater reviews every registration in an effort to keep the site pleasurable for all our members. Bogus, nonsensical, or incomplete profiles are always deleted immediately. If you would like your account reinstated in order to complete your profile, please let us know.

My Account
  • How can I change my username?
    If you wish to change your username, you may submit a request to us, and if available we will change it for you.

  • How do I change my password?
    You may change your password from within the Account Settings page, or:
    1. Log in to SwingDater.com with your username and password.
    2. Click on the "My Settings" tab at the top of the page.
    3. Click on the "Account" subtab.
    4. Enter your new password in the "My Password" section.
    5. Click on the "Update" button.
    Once you've changed your password, we will email your new password to you. You will then be able to log in again, confirming your change.

  • What if I've forgotten my password?
    You may request that your password to be emailed to you by submitting the Lost Password form.

  • I've moved. How do I change my address?
    You may change your zip code from within the Account Settings page, or:
    1. Log in to SwingDater.com with your username and password.
    2. Click on the "My Settings" tab at the top of the page.
    3. Click on the "Account" subtab.
    4. Enter your new zip code in the "My Location" section.
    5. Click on the "Update" button.

  • How do I terminate my membership?
    You may terminate your membership at any time by contacting SwingDater admin using this form. Your profile and photos will be removed within 24 hours.
My Profile
  • Are there restrictions as to what I can put in my profile?
    Yes. Each profile is reviewed by SwingDater staff. We reserve the right to edit or delete any profiles or photos deemed inappropriate or offensive. We also request that users not enter personal contact information such as telephone numbers, addresses, pager numbers, etc., as such information will be immediately removed from the account.

  • How long does it take for my photos to be approved?
    It generally takes only a few hours for photos to be approved, but always less than 24 hours.

  • How do I update or edit my profile?
    You can easily update or edit your profile by following these steps:
    1. Log in to SwingDater.com with your username and password.
    2. Click on the "My Settings" tab at the top of the page. This brings you to your profile edit page.
    3. You may edit any portion of your profile by clicking on its "Edit" icon or link.

  • Why weren't my photos approved?
    Please refer to SwingDater's Photo Guidelines for details as to what our requirements are. Chances are, you'll find your answer there.

    But to reiterate, your Main profile pic MUST be fully clothed, or at least tastefully display no obvious nudity. It may be risqué, however. In fact we encourage it:)

    Please also note that if photos are grainy, pixelated, or of poor quality they may also be turned down. This actually benefits you, as quality photos generate better responses. For best results, make sure your photos are at least 300 pixels by 300 pixels, or of higher resolution. If you need assistance with this, don't hesitate to let us know.

SwingDater Text & Video Messenger
  • How do I use SwingDater's Instant Text/Video Messenger
    1. Log in to SwingDater.com
    2. Navigate to the Profile Page of the member with whom you wish to text or video message
    3. If their preferences are set to allow Instant Messaging, you will see the
      Instant Message or Invite to VideoCam! icon and link within the Action Panel.
    4. Click the link to request a chat session
    5. If the other member accepts, the New SwingDater Instant Messenger application is launched and you are free to text chat or WebCam!
    6. Let the sexy fun begin!
Preferences
  • How do I prevent Single Males from contacting me?
    You may block single males from contacting you from within the Mail Settings page, or:
    1. Log in to SwingDater.com with your username and password.
    2. Click on the "My Settings" tab at the top of the page.
    3. Click on the "Mail" subtab.
    4. Within the "Message Filters" section, select the "Yes" checkbox for "Block single males".
    5. Click on the "Update" button.

  • How do I prevent a specific member from contacting me?
    You can block specific members from contacting you from within your Mail Console. Simply select the checkbox next to their message, and click the "Block" button. Alternatively, you can block members by clicking the "Block" button within the opened message.

    Should you wish to unblock them, navigate to "Message Filters" section of your Mail Settings page, or:

    1. Log in to SwingDater.com with your username and password.
    2. Click on the "My Settings" tab at the top of the page.
    3. Click on the "Mail" subtab.
    4. Within the "Message Filters" section, select the member(s) you wish to unblock (you may select multiple members by depressing the [Ctrl] key as you make your selections.
    5. Click on the "Unblock" button.

  • How will I know when other members contact me?
    By default, SwingDater notifies you by email that you have received a new message in your account. You may always disable this feature by navigating to your Mail Settings page, and unchecking "Notify me when I receive new messages".

  • How will I know when new members join in my area?
    You may elect to receive SwingDater notices when new members join within a specified distance from you. Simply navigate to the Mail Settings page, and select "Yes" under "Email Notifications". Then select the desired distance.

  • I don't wish to receive invitations to chat. How can I prevent this?
    You can turn off "Chat Invitations" by navigating to your Miscellaneous Settings page. Within the "SwingDater Instant Messenger Preferences" select your preferences under "Block these users".
Mail
  • Why am I unable to contact certain members?
    SwingDater allows its members to choose who they may be contacted — or not be contacted — by. If while attempting to send a message, you receive the notice "Sorry, but this message could not be sent," it is likely because you have either been blocked explicitly (by UserName), or generally (ie. Single Males).

  • I no longer wish to receive notices when new members join.
    You may adjust your settings from within the "Mail" section of your "My Settings" area to disable or enable this feature.

  • What can I do about members who spam?
    SwingDater strives to keep this site a spam-free zone. If you receive solicitations from other members, please do not hesitate to let us know.

  • How can I tell whether a member has read my message?
    You have the ability for you to see whether or not your emails have been accepted and read by their recipients. Here's how it works:
    1. Access your "Mail" tab
    2. Navigate to your "Sent" mail subfolder
    3. The "Status" column on the left displays icons for two email states (one for 'read' another for 'unread.' By mousing over the 'read' icons the date and time the email was accepted and read by the recipient will be displayed.
