Travel Toys
2004-01-22 12:21:38
As a professional traveller that is on the road constantly, I do pack a couple of toys. After 9/11, these have been raising more and more eyebrows though security checkpoints. I have searched pretty extensively for something that would be a little less obvious about it's function. Any suggestions?

You are in luck! You may not be aware of this but today is National Help Out A Professional Traveler Day or NHOAPTD! So, here's some possiblilities Darla. If you wish, checkout a site called, Mypleasure.com. There are 2 "toys" that might fit your traveling needs. One is called Incognito and looks like a bottle of pink nail polish. The other is called Hidden Pleasures and looks like a tube of lipstick. These might serve you well when you need to "powder your nose" on the road. Also this might make your experiences with security checkpoints a nit easier.

Do not ask how I knew this! lol

Well, Happy Trails!!! ; }

I had a girlfriend once that used a little rubber ducky that had a small rough spot on its' beak (a spru from the moulding process). She never took a bath without it. If what you have is motorized try to get it through without the batteries. Any mass of metal more than an ounce will set the damn thing off. (I work nuclear, so I have to go through this stuff at least once a day) What else?...hummm. How about a plastic or ceramic figurine of the appropriate size. Wood's good too.
Last but not least is the ultimate pull toy, a naked man on roller skates.
Good luck.

Darla, one word; IMAGINATION.

Who says a 'toy' has to be a real toy.

Consider commonly available durable, or produce, goods to come off the bench (that felt good to say in this venue as March Madness approaches) for some quality points when they are needed....

Or, if you're like me, you'll just put the biggest, most realistic dong in your carry-on just to get passed through the inspection much quicker....

Adam & Eve has a motorized rubber duckie in their inventory.

My wife bought 2 beautiful marble "paperweights" in Mexico last year. When reboarding the ship we were stopped & had our bags inspected because the security tech thought the items looked suspicous.
Needless to say a good laugh was had by all.

butterflies are always discrete as well. They don't really show up on the scans too much and are igored in your carryons. Plus you can put it on in the bathroom then and enjoy your flight.

During the height of the scare from 911 I read an article that the sercurity personnel would not allow vibrators nor razors like the G3 which is a battery powered to be allowed on planes... Well the gist of the article wsa that they were not bothering electric or Battery powered toothbrushes. The artcle suggested that these littles of modern dental care would be used quite effectively as a vibrating stimulator... What do I know... How about the little Finger thingy the FUKUOKU 9000. According to the ladies at the clubs they are awesome... Small easy to carry and the instruction has instructions for Sinus problems, Eye Fatigue, Muscular Tension and Headaches.

For those ladies that are frequent travelers in my area....just drop me a line...I don't think I'll fit in a suitcase, though.
