You know when you get a close match on this site and people complain that nothing happens and these are people with in a short drive and you can't get a response from them.We may never want to meet but if you put yourself on this thing at least say your not interested,and say why not we are adults and can take rejection.

We hear you. Our problem is not so much people not responding but people who do respond and either do not really want to swing or else flake out about meeting (not just once, which is understandable, but multiple times).

I think there are 2 different dynamics going on here. Pegleg, Not very uncommon is the situation that people are afraid that they will be recognized by people who are close to them. I don't fully understand that but it really happens. In cities which are fairly large one finds this mind set as well as small towns. There are ministers, doctors, nurses, police, lawyers(for the life of me I can't figure that one out... Lawyers are not know for their honesty and descretion either) and various other professions where they may be recognized and thus endanger their status in the community. It would, however, be nice if these people would answer a note even to say, thanks but no thanks.

Now for the meeting thing. We solved that one years ago. Try meeting at a mall close to one of you. Meet in the food court and if you have a no show.... go shopping...momma will always be able to find something to spend money on. One good thing about this venue is No reservations to make. No getting all dressed up and putting on the dog for the other couple....you get to be yourself with no aires and they get the same. If the show make sure that you two have a way to recognize you ..exchange a pic or wear something out of the ordinary. If you hit it off then go to dinner a movie but don't try to hook up that day or night. Saturday afternoon is a good time to meet. Another strategy to meet is at a club...where you'd go anyway.. If you don't click simply go your own ways and have a good night.

Sometimes things work and sometimes they don't but you won't know until you try.

So true. I'm afraid that what we run into at times are the "scratch and sniff" crowd. They only want to know whom among thier neighbors is up for a 'Hit' As a Virginian you must know the many Bible thumping 'thought police' you have down there.
Conversely, there are many that get ballistic when you respond to thier request for erotic e-mail. Go figure.
I think a lot of the people on this site are so totally sexually repressed that they wonder what it's all about.

except that part of the club you like,go to one close to the one you like,that way you don t get people you not good with going to the place and messing it up,let them saty at the bad one if you like them and its all go you can always offer the nicer club,i m not being clickish or judgement real but i m picky i like a soft club or a piano bar where you can talk and relax thers not alot of places like that, ok i m being clickish and sunty but we all are to some extent?

One thing I have found here is that if you look at about 1/2 the people they have not been signed on for a year or two years! I think that swingdater should purge out anyone who has not logged on after 6 mos or so.

Unfortunately, you cannot delete your own profile on this page and there is probably to many for the Webmaster to do. The webmaster use to be logged on all the time and I haven't seen him for a long time.

We solved that common problem by forming a local club. We only meet new people at the club. That way we have a good time weather they show or not. www.special-friends.org

Sometimes it helps to post a pic so people can have a feel for a friendly smile. Also there is a Clothing optional / swingers Resort and Campground in northern Ga. that go to in the Spring that caters to Couples and single ladies that is a lot of fun in a no pressure atmosphere. This is a place you can relax and enjoy the sites and if something happens it's great and if it don't then you can still have fun.
