To directly answer your question, YES! Now to qualify that with .. If you know who you are playing with and you are careful selecting partners...chances are you'll not have problems... STD's in the lifestyle are, if my research is correct, slightly lower for serious STD's than in the "normal vanilla" world. You are more likely to contract the flu than the more serious STD's... BTW if your partner has a cold sore do not kiss him or let him go down on you... without a dental dam. HSV 1 can be transfered to the mouth and to genitals...where it magically becomes HSV2.
