Most Popular IM Programme?
2004-11-26 00:23:30
Hi Folks,

I'm interested in using Instant Messaging and would like some advice as to which provider offers the best programme and is the most used?

How often do the members here use instant messaging compared to other ways of communicating with other members?

Thanks for your input!!

I have to agree Yahoo IM is the most used for what I see, with better features.

Dear Greekgod,

Talk about truth in advertising! Thank you very much for your response to my posting. Your advice pretty much echoes what was told to me on the forum and elsewhere.

(I just realized these thank you's are posted on the forum...sorry for the wasted space.)

Best regards,

Renault

One you may want to consider is trillian, because it is basically aim, yahoo, icq and others all rolled into one. Just a thought, but yahoo on its own is pretty good.

Joeforu nailed it. Trillian(sp?) is the way to go. Yahoo is good too though.

Interesting since this muct be relatively new or remote... Never heard of it before.. Will look into. A question, however. You state that it is AIM, Yahoo, ICQ and all the others all rolled into one... Does that mean that this is a program that will work with all of those programs? Kind of a bridge program? Or is this simply a program like these that only words with a user who has this "Trillion" program? or If one has "Trillian" then you can contact peopl on any of these other services?????

Tommy,

Considering the timing here wouldn't you need to somehow give directions as to wher you are in the Houston area. Your mailbox here is going to crowd up quick. Are you in the Baytown section, Palm Center area, Deer Park, Northline, Belaire.. Houston is a big town with lots and lots of suberbs...
Just a thought....
