L 'Sota began with a few couples that would get together a few times a year at a "no tell" motel here in Cedar Rapids. That was in 1988 and 1989. The number of couples grew to eight, which was more than could fit comfortably lying down in a motel room. L'Sota is and has always been a true swing club dedicated to the Alternative Lifestyle a.k.a. swinging. The location was then moved in 1990, as the couples multiplied to twenty.

As we are well into a new millenium, L'Sota's excellence continues to grow, not only in the number of couples and single females that attend but much more importantly the quality of the membership.
